Min Thorne, CMT
I am Min Thorne. I practice an intuitively guided blend of Tui Na, Reflexology and gentle Qi balancing Medical Qigong. My style can be applied in an active and energizing way or in a softer and more nurturing session depending on your needs. I was originally drawn to the Asian healing arts to counterbalance the long hours and short deadlines of a computer-based career. The deeply restorative effects of the massage and acupuncture I was receiving opened my mind to a new world of possibilities. I now can’t imagine life without it and enthusiastically seek to share its benefits with any-and-everyone I can.

Leyla Aleman, CMT CMT
I’m Leyla (they/she) and I am a queer, mixed bodyworker, health educator, and space holder. I am so glad you’re here.
I was born and raised in SF and grew up dancing and practicing yoga. I approach my work with grounded and meditative intention. In our session, I may utilize both Western and Eastern modalities, including deep tissue work, trigger point release, myofascial release, Thai massage, and shiatsu techniques. I will soon be starting a Master’s program in Chinese Traditional Medicine and Acupuncture, and I look forward to incorporate what I learn into my offerings.
Together, we will get curious about the patterns your body holds, and ease into the fibers with purpose, presence, and care.

Marta Viola is a licensed acupuncturist with a Master’s Degree (MTCM) and Doctoral Degree (DAOM) in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (ACCHS) in Oakland, California.
She is originally from Brazil, where she majored in Letters and Sciences and completed her Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics with a focus in Portuguese and English.
Her two major interests in life have been learning languages, opening possibilities to different interactions and views of life; and healing arts in the form of inner cultivation through the practices of meditation, Tai Chi, Qi Gong as well as belly dancing and massage therapy.
The conversion of those interests manifested in her studies and trainings in meditation and healing such as Silva Mind Control, Transcendental Meditation, Inner Guide Meditation, Yoga, Wu style Tai Qi, Reiki and massage while still in her home country.
In the USA, she deepened her meditation practice at the Tibetan Nyingma Institute and started her training in Chinese Medicine graduating from the 850hr massage program at the Acupressure Institute and became a Diplomate in Asian Bodywork Therapy through the National Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. She also had training as a doula and pre and perinatal massage therapy.
Later, she further expanded her trainings in wellness and healing studying acupuncture and herbalism in her MTCM and deepening her understanding of Chinese Medicine studying Classical Chinese Medicine and Orthopedics in her DAOM.
Nowadays she lives and works in the Bay area, where she applies different healing modalities to tailor treatments to the well-being of patients to achieve a more harmonious and fulfilling life.

Dr. Ozben Felek, LAc.
Dr. Ozben Felek is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, Dipl. OM, with a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and clinical doctorate from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (ACCHS) in Oakland, California.
Prior to her Chinese Medicine education, Ozben studied industrial engineering ( Galatasaray University, Istanbul).
She has been practicing Kiiko Matsumoto style acupuncture where she utilizes a systematic, easy to learn, palpatory method which is designed to provide instant feedback. When using this system, she follows a palpation sequence which both establishes a diagnosis and suggests several treatment options that might be effective for treating a particular patient.
She practices Jing Fang Classical Chinese Herbalism which is a method that treats the person not the disease, and promotes the body’s natural ability to restore health. Thus the same formulas can help many diseases, and the same disease can be treated with different formulas.

I’ve been a tea enthusiast and educator since 1999, when I discovered and began working at Far Leaves Tea in Berkeley, CA. I deeply resonate with Far Leaves’ philosophy of using tea as a practice to slow down, pay attention, and savor life.
Back in the early 1990s, I practiced Zen and Taoist meditation with a Korean Zen master, and it was during that time that I learned about the deep historical connection between tea and the meditative arts. Even after all these years in the craft tea world, I’m still just as passionate about this beautiful beverage and its culture.
In my free time, I’m usually crafting something. For many years it was ceramics—mostly teaware. These days, I’m focused on making kitchen knives and tools used for the Chinese (gongfu cha) tea ceremony.
I lead the Meditation & Tea class every Wednesday from 9:00am–10:00 am at the clinic, and I’d love to see you there.

Dr. Ilana Leib, LAc.
I am a licensed acupuncturist in California and earned my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health and Science. Prior to pursuing my education in Eastern medicine, I studied a range of healing and movement practices including Yoga Therapy, Reiki, and breath work—modalities I now integrate into my acupuncture treatments. I also enjoy implementing various Chinese medical modalities like fire cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, and tui na massage. With extensive training in Chinese herbal medicine, I enjoy prescribing formulas that complement acupuncture sessions and address the root causes of my patients’ health concerns. I also have additional training in Japanese-style acupuncture, known for its subtle, gentle approach and use of finer needles. My practice is rooted in the belief that the body, mind, and spirit hold an innate capacity for healing. I strive to create a welcoming, inclusive, and collaborative space where this natural intelligence can be supported and activated. My areas of focus include mental and emotional wellness, pain management, reproductive health, senior care, and digestive health. I am especially passionate about working with individuals who are sensitive and strive to create an environment of safety and trust to facilitate deeper healing.
Originally from Philadelphia, I now live in the city with my partner and our pup. In my free time, I love dancing, hiking, cooking nourishing meals, and enjoying live music and comedy—moments that bring me joy, connection, and inspiration that I carry into my work.

Interdisciplinary by nature, my thought process is integrative and informed by classical Chinese medicine, Japanese acupuncture strategies, western physiology and anatomy, neuroscience, trauma therapies, and medical anthropology. I help bring clients into their optimal balance by systematically shifting the layers and networks of stagnation that cause chronic imbalances and disease.
I am trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as Japanese-style acupuncture. My technique is gentle, and I value empowering clients through evaluating and advising on diet and other lifestyle areas. I specialize in cases of chronic pain and emotional challenges (depression, anxiety, grief), as well as reproductive health, prenatal/postpartum care, immune system imbalances, and emotional trauma. Through acupuncture and herbal medicine, I aim to disrupt cycles of disharmony and pain, while strengthening our innate capacities for healing and resilience.

My undergraduate degree is in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley.
